The Portage Area High School Alumni Association had its official beginning with the acceptance of its by-laws by the Portage Area School District Board of Education on Wednesday October 13, 2004.
The primary goals of the Alumni Association are:
1. To build friendship and cooperation among alumni of the Portage Area High School.
2. To maintain and enhance the prestige and tradition of Portage Area High School.
3. To provide funds for a variety of projects at Portage Area High School, including scholarships, for students who attend post-secondary schools.
4. To assist graduating classes as they prepare for reunions.
5. To encourage alumni support of the school district's educational programs through donations to the Portage Area Education Fundation.
6. To help alumni maintain contact with each other and with the Portage Area School District.
